Panagiotakis Garden Theatre : Piano Recital by Konstantinos Valianatos (Greece) and Ching-Wen Hsiao (Taiwan/USA) The festival curtain rises with a thrilling evening of sweeping romantic works performed by two outstanding piano soloists, both multi-international award winners as well as graduates of the Juilliard School of America. From Schubert’s Seranade, Liszt’s Grande Valse and Chopin’s Barcarolle to Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance, one of the signature pieces of 20th century pop music that has been featured in a wide range of films over the decades, this evening promises to be an unforgettable one!

Cultural Association Museum : Flute seminar (for students of all levels) followed by a concert by Dr Iwona Glinka Distinguished flute soloist, educator, recording artist, orchestral and chamber musician, and leading performer Dr Iwona Glinka. The seminar will be followed by a concert “Meeting with Contemporary Music Creation”, in which Dr Iwona Glinka will present among others, works by contemporary composers. Panagiotakis Garden Theatre : “Chopin for love” :: Song recital with Leona Crasi (Romania) and Waimay Yau (Hong Kong), and Piano Recital by Simone Tavoni (Italy) We are delighted to welcome three outstanding artists whose constant striving for excellence has gained them international recognition and many first-prize awards in major music competitions. The evening will start with the classical singer, soprano Waimay Yau, and the pianist Leona Crasi, who will present a rich selection of romantic songs and lullabies, including Debussy’s “Sleeping Beauty”, Brahms’ Cradle song, Schubert and more. Their performance will be followed by the dashing Italian pianist Simone Tavoni, who will present a wonderful programme of romantic works such as the Scarlatti Sonata, Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody, and a glorious Chopin Ballade. An evening which is certain to put you in the mood for love!

Panagiotakis Garden Theatre : “Holistic Harmony”- An open discussion with author-artist Stelios Viskadourakis (Greece). Piano Recital by Riyad Nicolas (Syria) Syria’s leading young pianist and one of the most exciting young artists to emerge from the Middle East, Riyad Nicolas, has established himself as a formidable figure of his generation, complemented by musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Vladimir Ashkenazy and John Lill, and a graduate with distinction from the Purcell School, Royal Academy of Music, and Royal College of Music London. He is a winner of multiple international prizes, and has become a pioneer of peace, performing in major music halls all over the world and raising awareness of the plight of the Syrian people. His performance is preceded by an inspirational dialogue with the Cretan author and artist Stelios Viskadourakis

Panagiotakis Garden Theatre : “Chansons d’amour” Manos Charalabopoulos(Greece) and Jacques Spiegelstein (Corsica) .Chamber music by the Aesthesia Saxophone Quartet This evening begins with an exquisite collection of famous lyrical songs and melodies performed by the baritone Jacques Spiegelstein and the award winning Greek pianist/composer Manos Charalabopoulos. Then, the London based Aesthesia Quartet, four outstandingly talented saxophone soloists – Jonathan Vaux, Daniel Scott, Stephanie Frankland, and Ashley Brand – each with major international awards and prizes including the EMI Music Sound Award, overall winner of the Harrogate Festival (London), Gregynog Young woodwind player and BBC Woodwind semi-finalist, will present a gripping musical journey from Mozart to Philip Glass.
