The latter is where Stella Apartments are located, right in the heart of Malia’s old Village, next to a beautiful and quiet square, which has a very old church-museum dated since 1400 AD.
Scattered around the apartments are several traditional little tavernas where you can enjoy Cretan food inside a romantic atmosphere and local music tunes.
The central main road and market of Malia lies only 100 metres away and there you will be able to find most of the things you will ever need during your stay in Malia. There is a regional bus (KTEL) scheduled every half an hour for either way Aghios Nikolaos or Heraklion which stops on all the main attractions of the route.
The sea is only half a mile away from your door step, with crystal clear water. A very nice beach of fine sand which probably contributes greatly to the popularity of Malia. It won’t get crowded until later in the day because most of people sleep in the day time after partying all night. You can also walk towards the East where there is a great beach near the Minoan palace of Malia
