Vori lies surrounded by the foothills of the Ida mountain in Southern Crete. The tranquil village off the way from the busy tracks of the tourists, is an ideal to start mountain hikes, to visit the Minoan places Festos and Agia Triada (walking distance is 40 minutes), and come in touch with the typical Cretan village life of the Messara.
The sunny beaches on the Libyan sea are situated within driving distance of 10 to 20 minutes: Matala, Komos, Kalamaki, and Kokkinos Pirgos. There are available direct busroutes to Iraklion, Agia Galini and Matala.
