In 1984 both my parents were working on the Konkar Triaina ship, the first as a radio operator and the second as a lieutenant.
Somewhere between Cape Τown and Madagascar and having as a final destination Singapore, they were forced to deal with three cyclones which were frantically changing their route.
It was then, the very first time that they saw those impressive seabirds, albatross, which managed to impress them and caught their attention so much despite the danger of the situation.
After this experience, they decided to name the rented rooms that they intended to build when they would return back to Crete, after these seabirds.
So here we are…
